4.0 Ltr V8 Engines

MGOC Spares is holding limited stocks of hard to find, cross-bolted, large main bearing 4.0Ltr V8 engines (part number G557STRIP), providing an ideal basis from which to build your very own performance MGBV8 conversion. Delivering excellent torque throughout the rev range with estimated power in excess of 200 Bhp. Remanufactured engines benefit from new camshafts, rocker assemblies, crankshaft, liners, pistons, con-rods and chain sets. V8 engines are supplied outright with no exchange necessary priced at £5,895, plus delivery. Supplied bare, with front timing cover, rocker covers, carburettor, manifold, ignition etc, available at additional cost.

Classic MG Tyres - Quality and Value from Barum

Finding the right tyres for classic MGs can be a challenge, but MGOC Spares has two excellent-value options from Barum, a European mid-range tyre brand exclusively distributed by Continental. For the MGB, the Barum Bravuris 5HM in 165/80R14 is the original tyre size for many models, offering a modern tyre design with dependable everyday performance. Priced at £76.95 each (part number W802). For the MG Midget, the Barum Brillantis 2 in 145/80R13 75T offers a good balance of steering response, wet-weather performance and durability. Variable Wiper Speed Controller

The Retronics Variable Wiper Speed Controller provides variable-speed control to your classic car’s original wiper motor, allowing you to adjust the sweep speed to suit the conditions, particularly useful in light rain and drizzle. MGA 4-Pot Vented Disc Brake Conversion

Developed exclusively by MGOC Spares, this high-performance brake conversion is designed for fast-road and modified MGAs where improved braking performance and reduced unsprung weight are priorities. Featuring lightweight aluminium MG RV8 4-pot calipers and 24mm vented, Geomet-coated brake discs, the comprehensive conversion is engineered specifically for MGA models with wire wheels up to 6″ x 15″. The kit includes MG RV8 calipers, vented discs, stainless steel brake hoses, MG RV8 Q Parts brake pads and all associated fitting hardware. It also supplies the necessary MGB stub axles, steering arms, wire-wheel 12 TPI centre-lock hubs, wheel bearing components, front suspension bushes, trunnion spacers and fixings to complete the conversion.

MGC Girling Servo Transfer Pipe

From March 1968 (chassis number 1154), MGCs were fitted with a Girling MKIIB brake servo in a specific configuration. Designed to clear the underside of the MGC bonnet, the air transfer pipe ran over the vacuum chamber clamping band at approximately the 2 o’clock position. Other Girling MKIIB servos fitted to cars such as the Lotus Elan and Austin Healey 3000 MKIII have the pipe positioned at approximately 12 o’clock. Although similar, this arrangement prevents the MGC bonnet from closing. With replacement servos unavailable new, it is an easy detail to overlook when sourcing a used unit for reconditioning. MGOC Spares keep limited stocks of the correct, MGC Girling MKIIB Transfer Pipe, manufactured in the UK from zinc-passivated steel. Offered under part number BHA4700P, priced at £74.95. MGF/TF Engine Bay Temperature Transmitter

If the engine-bay cooling fan on your MGF or MG TF runs continuously from the moment the ignition is switched on, even when the engine is completely cold, the engine-bay air temperature transmitter is worth checking. A faulty transmitter can also cause the engine-bay overheat warning lamp to remain illuminated. Previously unavailable, a replacement transmitter from Lucas is now available from MGOC Spares.
