Classic Fuel Tanks

Classic MG fuel tanks are susceptible to corroding from the inside out, due to condensate forming on the underside at the top of the tank which eventually eats through the pressing. If you can smell fuel in the cabin of your MGB, it’s likely that your petrol tank requires replacement. When storing your MG for prolonged periods the best way to protect your tank and your fuel delivery system from corrosion is to drain the fuel. MGB Stub Axle with Needle Roller Bearings

For improved smoothness and steering precision, MGOC Spares offers Replacement Exchange MGB Stub Axle assemblies featuring brand new kingpins, commissioned by MGOC Spares, together with high-quality, UK-machined needle roller bearings. Supplied with top trunnion assembled and ready for fitment. An uprated alternative to standard kingpins, aimed at MGB owners seeking lighter, more responsive steering, particularly when parking. MGB 25% Bigger Brake Kit

The MGB X25 upgrade from MGOC Spares provides a 25% increase of both brake disc and pad surface area for a significant reduction in brake fade and improved stopping performance, designed to be compatible for use with standard MGB brake calipers and wheels. Part number H592, comprises a pair of 25% thicker slotted and drilled corrosion resistant Geomet coated discs, a pair of bespoke X25 Q Parts low dust high-performance ceramic pads and fitting kit. Offered this month priced at only £99.95, saving £30.

High Output Alternator

Brand new 16/17ACR 55 Amp/Hr alternators are offered for outright sale with no exchange necessary. Boasting up to 30% more power over standard units, making them ideal for cars where electronic upgrades demand a higher output from the alternator. Alternators are supplied complete with fan, pulley and plug retaining clip. MGOC Spares also stock the parts to convert earlier models fitted with dynamos to alternators. Offered this month priced at £54.95, saving £5.

High-Tech Condensers

Developed exclusively for MGOC Spares, High-tech condensers from Retronics are designed and assembled in the UK using best quality components. Featuring premium grade metallised film capacitors, specifically designed for pulse applications to suppress the spark from the points faster and with greater consistency and reliability than the original Lucas design which uses an electrolytic approach, prone to expansion from temperature changes and susceptible to vibration giving rise to inconsistent suppression and a short service life. Featuring all copper connections and high strand copper wire sheathed in silicone for vibration dampening, each unit is hand soldered, to provide excellent, long-term conductivity. MGB Starter Motor

MGOC Spares is pleased to offer an improved specification small-bodied pre-engaged starter motor from Q Parts. Suitable for MGBs from 1967 onwards, the improved small-bodied unit is not only easier to fit than the original Lucas unit but also offers increased cranking capacity whilst drawing less power from the car’s battery. Offered under part number GXE4441, reduced this month to only £64.95.

MGB V8 Badge Plinth

The original plastic V8 badge plinth has been unavailable for many years. MGOC Spares is pleased to reintroduce this line, having undertaken reverse engineering, 3D visualisation and rigorous testing to develop a UK-manufactured, UV-resistant product that faithfully replicates the original design. Designed to mount to the original GTV8 Honeycomb Grille with additional spacers included to affix to aftermarket wire mesh grilles. Offered under part number HZA4701PL priced at £14.95. Locking Fuel Caps
