MGOC Spares Engine Order Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 22/08/2024
Thank you for your interest in ordering a remanufactured engine from MGOC Spares & Accessories.
1. Surcharges:
The surcharge is refunded upon receipt and inspection of your old engine.
This can take on average 28 working days to process from the date your engine is collected.
The surcharge will be refunded to your payment card and is on condition that your old unit is deemed serviceable.
Engines deemed un-serviceable will not be eligible for refund of surcharges.
We reserve the right to retain partial surcharges based on the condition of the components. For example, the block may be acceptable, but the cylinder head could be deemed unserviceable.
Engine delivery cradles constitute part of the surcharge value and must be returned with your old unit to qualify for a refund.
The supply & fitment of a clutch will incur an additional charge on all engines apart from Stage II performance units.
2. Lead Times:
Standard Engines:
These units are normally available “ex-stock” with a delivery of 3-5 working days.
Should the unit not be in stock when the order is confirmed, we will endeavour to advise a delivery schedule.
Performance engines:
All performance engines are built to order.
Once the order is confirmed & payment taken, build time is usually 3-4 weeks.
Customer Own Unit engines:
Build time is usually 3-4 weeks.
Any item deemed un-serviceable will increase the quoted lead time and be subject to additional costs.
All lead times are subject to change.
3. Deliveries:
All deliveries require someone to be at the premises to assist with unloading of the delivery.
It is recommended that a pallet truck or engine hoist be on site to aid with manoeuvring.
4. Collections:
It is not practical nor necessary to collect the old engine at the same time of delivery. In all cases a separate collection must be arranged.
Once all the required parts have been swapped from the old engine to the new one, please drain ALL the oil & coolant from the old unit and place back into the delivery cradle.
Please call us on 01954 230928 to arrange collection.
We will require the reference number from your engine delivery cradle to book collection; thereafter we will advise you with a collection reference to write on the label.
Please Note:
We strongly recommended that no work is undertaken or workshop time pre-booked until the new engine has been delivered.
This could save time and inconvenience should the delivery be delayed for any reason.
5. Warranty Information:
All engines are built and assembled to Federation of Engine Remanufacturers (FER) standards www.fer.co.uk.
All engines come with a 12-month, unlimited mileage warranty.
Please refer to the handbook provided with your engine for full warranty details
(a copy of this can be provided via e-mail or post prior to ordering if required) and ensure that the warranty registration is completed by the engineer fitting the new unit.
It is important that before fitting the replacement unit, the cause of the original engine failure is identified, and where appropriate, remedial action is taken.
Failure to do so may result in similar problems with the replacement engine, which will not be covered by the engine warranty.
The cooling system should only be filled with an antifreeze mix or recommended coolant.
IMPORTANT! - DO NOT USE WATERLESS COOLANT IN IVOR SEARLE ENGINES.
In our experience, the use of waterless coolant may lead to premature engine failure and therefore any subsequent warranty claim will be rejected.
