MGOC Spares stock the original coolant expansion tank specified originally for MGTFs manufactured from September 2004on which featured low level coolant indication as standard. Offered today as a direct replacement for all years of MGF & TF this later expansion tank incorporates a moving float and sensor location hole, a redundant feature on earlier cars. The tanks tend to deteriorate over time, with cracks appearing and discolouration to the extent that the coolant level may no longer be visible. Late model MGTFs with low level coolant warning feature may also find that the float is susceptible to absorbing anti-freeze leading to false alarms.
