Weather equipment upgrades address both the hood and tonneau cover material choices and the storage protection products that keep the car in good condition between uses.
Hood Material Options
Heavy-duty vinyl provides an economical alternative to the original-specification double duck canvas for hoods and tonneau covers. Vinyl is waterproof, durable, and easier to clean than canvas, though it lacks the breathability and period authenticity of double duck. Both materials are available in biscuit (tan) and black for all three hood specifications (two-bow TD, three-bow TD, and TF). The choice between vinyl and double duck is largely one of budget and preference, both provide effective weather protection.
Storage Protection
Dehumidifiers and tyre savers are the two most practical storage accessories for a car that spends extended periods stationary. Dehumidifiers reduce the moisture level in the garage environment, protecting the steel body, chassis, and ash frame from corrosion and rot. Tyre savers prevent the flat spots that develop when tyres sit in one position for weeks or months, distributing the vehicle's weight across a broader contact area.
