The Ultimate carpet sets are MGOC Spares' best-fitting and most complete carpet replacement for MGF and MG TF. Each set includes two moulded and preshaped carpet sections (one for each side of the transmission tunnel), soundproofing integrated where required, and two matching footwell mats (which can also be ordered separately). Ultimate sets are catalogued in four colours: Black (N800A), Blue (N800B), Red (N800M), and Beige (N800X), the live page description "Biscuit" is the same as Beige. Contrasting bindings are available to special order, allowing the carpet to be coordinated with a specific interior trim colour scheme (particularly relevant for MGOC's Bespoke interior service).
MG TF uses a distinct carpet set from MGF, priced and patterned specifically for the TF's slightly different cabin geometry.
Factory-Original Moulded Carpets, Supplied on Request
For owners restoring to an exact factory-original specification, original-specification moulded carpets in specific colours are available on request from MGOC Spares, these are not held in general stock but can be ordered in. Requests should include the exact model, VIN number, and carpet colour to allow MGOC Spares to confirm availability. This option is valuable for concours-standard restorations where the Ultimate set's contemporary quality and fit aren't historically accurate for the car.
Fixings and Japan Market Plug
Carpet is secured to the floor pan by ten drive fasteners and two retaining hooks that are catalogued individually, both typically need replacement whenever carpet is lifted for service work because the plastic fasteners commonly break on removal. A dedicated Japan market blanking plug (30mm head diameter drive fastener) covers an unused mounting hole in the floor pan that would otherwise have carried a Japan-market warning flare bracket, a small market-specific detail catalogued separately.
Door Threshold Finishers and MG Logo Treadplates
The door threshold finishers are black plastic trim pieces (×2) catalogued for standard specification, these sit at the bottom of each door aperture where the carpet edge meets the sill. The factory brightwork upgrade is the bright stainless MG-logo treadplate (×2, part of the Bright Pack specification), and MGOC's K119 stainless treadplate kit is catalogued as an aftermarket equivalent pair with the same bright-stainless MG-logo finish. Six treadplate screws and six Lokut nuts mount the treadplates.
