Backings are available for both front and rear fitment, though the rear is the more common application as the front plate on many Midgets is mounted on the bumper blade rather than on a separate backing panel. The backings are secured by self-tapping screws through pre-drilled holes, with the number plate mounted over the backing using the same fixings.
