Faithful reproduction of the original gear knob used fitted on MGBs from 1972 to 1976, featuring the original gear shift pattern, digitised from original samples. An improvement over the leather effect original manufactured from polyurethane, the reintroduced example features genuine leather covering and is manufactured in the UK. Assembled using a blank insert from which the thread of the gear lever shaft is cut during installation. To protect the leather from puckering during install, we recommend covering the gear knob with a clean cloth before applying downward pressure and turning clockwise to initiate.
