Has your MGF or MGTF heater motor lost some of its speed settings? If so, this will be because the finer open coil resistor wires in the original and somewhat inferior design which dictate the speed of the motor, have melted. The fault worsens over time as the break in continuity of each open coil resistor fails, placing greater load on the remaining coils with owners typically experiencing a loss of position one (slowest speed), then position two (medium speed) and finally position three (faster speed), until only position four (fastest speed) remains. For standard, non AC models replacement is straightforward (AC models require system depressurisation and removal of the condenser unit). MGOC Spares recommend the uprated heater resistor as fitted to MG Motor MGF &TF models, manufactured using an advanced ceramic heat sink design and proven to last!
