All MGBs used the same bump stop and alloy spacer in standard form with no difference between chrome and rubber bumper cars. When using shorter front coil springs to lower the ride height on an MGB the distance between the lower wishbone arms and the bump stops is reduced, reducing available suspension travel. Shortened bump stops are designed to provide the full range of travel required of the front suspension and are recommended purchasing lowered coil springs.
