Designed to assist vehicle reliability by keeping engine bay temperatures under control, the engine bay cooling fan found on MGF & TF models, is triggered on MPI models by a sensor (part number MHK100520) activating when ambient engine bay temperature exceeds the preset (between 70-80 degrees centigrade). Operation is
not inaudible, so drivers may note the fan switching on typically when caught in stationary traffic on hot days for a sustained period of time. If the fan isn’t triggered the sensor and/or fan should be checked for proper operation and replaced. MGOC Spares stocks new replacement original fans.
