Our Multi-Shim Head gasket set has been developed by Landrover and FAI Automotive to combat head gasket failure on the K series engine, constructed from pressed steel shims and eradicating the need for silicone beading (a common complaint of K series head gasket design). In addition, the Landrover lower rail is offered, which stiffens the engine block and minimises float, providing extra engine stability. Having to replace the head gasket on any vehicle is an unenviable task, our kits make sure it's one that you shouldn't have to repeat. (NB it is vital that cylinder liner height tolerance (0.002-0.004") is observed and hardness of the engine block and head checked before embarking on head gasket replacement.)
