Original Specification
Early MGF cars use a non-airbag wheel, while later MGF and MG TF cars are fitted with an airbag steering wheel as standard. Leather-rimmed wheels were fitted to higher-specification and special-edition models. The rim finish can wear and the centre pad or trim can become damaged or faded, and a fresh wheel transforms the feel and appearance of the driving position.
Airbag & Fitment Considerations
Where an airbag wheel is involved, the airbag module, rotary coupler (clock spring), and wiring must be compatible with the wheel and the car, and airbag components should always be handled and fitted following the correct safety procedure. The boss and fitment hardware must match the column.
