Complete fuel line kits provide all the rigid steel pipework needed to renew the V8's fuel delivery system in one go. The kit includes the tank-to-pump pipe run along the chassis, the pump-to-carburettor pipe in the engine bay, and the various clips, unions and short hose sections needed to complete the installation. The pipework is supplied pre-formed to the original V8 routings, ready to fit without further bending.
Why a Complete Kit
A complete kit is the appropriate choice during a major restoration or where the original pipework has corroded or suffered damage along significant lengths. Replacing only damaged sections is fine for spot repair, but during a full restoration the whole system is best renewed at once, the cost of the pipework is small relative to the labour of accessing it, and renewing all components together gives a long, predictable service life.
Installation
The kit installs using the original chassis pipe-clip positions and the original mounting points at the tank, pump and carburettors. Existing pipe-clip rubber inserts should be renewed alongside the pipework if these have hardened or split. The flexible hose sections at the pump and carburettor connections should be renewed at the same time using ethanol-resistant hose.
