Sun visors were not fitted by the factory to cars sold outside North America. They have become a popular retrofit accessory in the classic car market, and the original North American specification items can be used to modify 1275cc or 1500 models in any market. A complete sun visor kit is available, and all individual components, visors, pivot brackets, stay brackets, and fixings, are also available separately for owners replacing individual worn or damaged items on a car already fitted with visors.
Practical Benefits
Sun visors are a practical addition for any Midget driven in summer, particularly on early morning or late afternoon journeys when the sun is low and directly ahead. The Midget's low seating position and relatively upright windscreen mean the sun visor intercepts the sun's rays at an effective angle. On winter days the benefit is equally pronounced, the low sun shining directly through the windscreen can make driving without visors genuinely hazardous.
