MGOC Spares catalogues two distinct styles of MGF front lip enhancement, serving different visual and aerodynamic purposes. The front air splitter is a thin horizontal blade fitted at the bottom of the front bumper, visually subtle but aerodynamically functional, reducing front-end lift at speed by limiting the air flowing beneath the car. The MGF Trophy front spoiler is a deeper moulding that sits below the bumper giving a more aggressive "chin" profile, originally fitted to the MGF Trophy 160 as a visual signature of the high-performance variant, now available as a retrofit to give any MGF the Trophy's more purposeful front-end appearance.
H950 and H951 Front Air Splitters
The H950 standard front air splitter is the item visible on the current live page. Supplied in black finish (can be painted to match body colour if preferred), the splitter reduces aerodynamic lift at high speed and gives the front end a subtly lowered visual profile without radically changing the car's look. Catalogued for MGFs up to VIN XD511058 (pre-Mk2 facelift cars). The H951 carbon fibre ultra-light splitter provides the same function as H950 but in carbon fibre construction, weight-saving for track-use cars and a more distinctive cosmetic appearance with visible carbon weave.
Both splitters fit the same mounting points on the underside of the front bumper.
MGF Trophy Front Spoiler, Original or Reproduction
The MGF Trophy front spoiler is catalogued in two forms. DFB000010LML is the original factory item supplied primed for painting to body colour, the same part fitted to Trophy 160 cars at the factory. H953 is a high-quality glass fibre reproduction, a visually indistinguishable alternative at a different price point, for owners who want the Trophy look without the original factory price. Both fit the MGF front bumper at the same mounting points and give the car the distinctive deeper chin profile that identifies the Trophy 160.
The Trophy spoiler is MGF-only, it cannot be fitted to MG TF because the MG TF has a fundamentally different front bumper geometry.
MG TF Front-End Styling
There is no catalogued direct equivalent of the MGF splitter or Trophy spoiler for MG TF. The MG TF has its own restyled front bumper, which came in a single specification without a factory spoiler/splitter variant, and MGOC Spares does not catalogue an MG TF front spoiler upgrade. MG TF owners seeking front-end styling upgrades would need to look at Exterior Styling Kit items on the MGTF Styling Kit page, which covers MG TF-specific enhancements.
