The K260 Chrome Rim Side Repeater is an MGOC-branded polished chrome surround that fits over the standard side repeater indicator lamp on the front wing. The surround frames the repeater lamp in chrome, adding a small but visible brightwork detail to the car's flank that complements the Bright Pack styling on cars without factory brightwork. The surround is purely decorative, it doesn't replace the repeater lamp itself or affect the indicator function. It sits over the existing lens, framing the repeater in polished chrome visible from the side of the car.
Side Repeater Compatibility
MGF/MG TF side repeater lamps changed specification at VIN XD511058/XD511059. Pre-XD511058 MGFs use amber lens repeaters (PRC9916A) with clear bulbs; post-XD511059 MGFs and all MG TF use clear lens repeaters (XGB000060A) with amber bulbs, the classic "amber lens to clear lens" change that accompanied the MY2000 facelift. The K260 chrome rim is designed to fit the clear-lens specification fitted from XD511059 onwards.
Owners of pre-XD511058 MGFs should confirm fitment with MGOC Spares before ordering, as the earlier amber-lens repeater has a slightly different external profile that may not match the rim's internal geometry.
Fitment
The rim fits over the repeater lamp without requiring the lamp to be removed from the wing, installation is a quick operation involving cleaning the area around the lamp and applying the rim in its final position. Adhesive mounting is typical for this style of accessory, though the specific fitment instructions are supplied with the product. The rim fits one side of the car per unit; most owners order two (one for each side) to achieve a balanced appearance.
