Home market and most export cars use a combined oil pressure and water temperature gauge, available in Fahrenheit (1967 to 1968), Celsius (1967 to 1968, alternative), and CNH Cold-Normal-Hot format (1969). North American cars use separate electric water temperature and mechanical oil pressure gauges. Fuel gauges also differ between fascia types. Many gauges are available as new or reconditioned exchange.
Oil Gauge Capillary System
Non-North American cars use a mechanical oil pressure gauge connected by a capillary tube from the engine oil gallery to the dashboard gauge. The tube assembly, leather washer, grommets (which differ between 1967 and 1968 to 1969 specification, and between home market and North American), connectors, hose, and adaptor are all available. Clips secure the capillary tube and oil pipe to the bulkhead. A voltage stabiliser ensures consistent gauge readings regardless of electrical system voltage variations.
