New to range, MGOC Spares has resourced Seat Diaphragm suitable for MGBs up to 1970 and Sprite & Midgets from 1965 to 1969. These new seat diaphragms are manufactured in the UK by the original
equipment manufacturer.
Fitting tip: Immerse diaphragm in very hot water and fit to seat frame immediately, this will make the diaphragm more supple and avoid splitting.
Alternatively: The later MGB Diaphragm with a webbing construction (part number BHH580) may be used in place of the earlier solid rubber diaphragm (part number AHA7878), although this requires redrilling of the hook positions on the seat frame with a 2.5mm drill bit. The later webbing is a better engineered solution and tends to last longer than the earlier solid rubber diaphragm. The MGB webiing (BHH580) may be used on both early MGB and Midget reclining seats.
Note: All webbings should be fitted with Calico Canvas to protect the bottom of the seat foam from rubbing on the diaphragm (see part number R150)
