A complete exhaust mounting kit provides every clamp, mounting rubber, bracket, hanger, saddle, insulation washer, and fixing needed to support a standard MGC exhaust system. The kit covers all three mounting positions, front (at the crossmember), intermediate (mid-body), and rear, ensuring that the exhaust system is correctly supported along its entire length. Deteriorated mounting rubbers allow the exhaust to sag, vibrate against the underside of the car, and fatigue at the manifold-to-pipe joint, eventually causing a fracture at the flange or a blowing seal. Replacing all mounting components when fitting a new exhaust system is strongly recommended, as the mounting rubbers will have deteriorated at the same rate as the system they were supporting.
Individual Mounting Components
Each mounting position is also available individually for targeted replacement: front mounting brackets (pair) with rubbers, insulation washers, spring washers, and nuts; front hanger bracket with saddle, screws, spring washers, and nuts; intermediate mounting with bush and bracket kit, bolt, spring washer, nut, and four screws with spring washers and nuts; rear mounting bracket with screws and spring washers, rubbers, hanger bracket with insulation washers, spring washers, nuts, and rear saddles with screws, spring washers, and nuts. The front-to-rear pipe clamp secures the joint between the front and rear exhaust sections.
