Indoor car covers and the supporting storage accessories protect the MGA during periods spent in a garage or workshop, keeping dust off the paintwork, drawing moisture out of the air around the car, and preventing tyre flat-spotting during extended stationary storage. Indoor covers prioritise breathable, soft-lined construction over the heavier weatherproof materials used outdoors, so the cover does not scratch the paintwork in fitting and removal.
Tailored Indoor Dust Cover
The Tailored Indoor Dust Cover for the MGA is a fitted soft cover designed for cars stored in a garage or workshop. The cover is shaped to suit the MGA's profile and made from a breathable lightweight material that keeps dust off the panels without abrasion or moisture-trapping. Indoor covers should not be used outside, they offer no meaningful weatherproof protection, but in a dry garage they extend the time between paintwork cleans and protect the bodywork from the daily dust accumulation that affects any car left stationary for extended periods.
Pingi Dehumidifier
A reusable dehumidifier sits inside the cabin during storage, drawing moisture out of the air to reduce condensation build-up on cold metal surfaces, glass and chrome. Particularly useful in unheated garages where overnight temperature swings cause damp to settle on the car. The dehumidifier is regenerated when full by drying it out (typically in a household oven or warm dry place), then returned to service.
Tyre Savers (Pair)
Tyre savers are moulded chocks fitted under the tyre contact patch during stationary storage, distributing the load across a wider area to prevent flat-spotting. Useful for cars left unmoved for weeks or months at a time on standard tyres. Two pieces in the pair, for the front pair of wheels, with a second pair available separately for full coverage of all four wheels.
Ordering Considerations
The indoor cover is the principal item; the dehumidifier and tyre savers are useful additions for cars in extended off-road storage. All three items apply equally across the MGA range and to all variants.
For cars stored outside, the Outdoor Car Covers section is the appropriate route, indoor covers are not weatherproof and will let water through to the paintwork.
