Complete trim kits provide all the interior panels needed to retrim the Midget cockpit in one comprehensive package. Two specifications are offered: Original and Club, both manufactured in the UK by Newton Commercial using authentic patterns recreated from original samples.
Interior Specification
The Original specification kit faithfully reproduces the factory trim for the relevant production period. It contains all footwell liners, door liners (plus material to recover door recesses on 1967 to 1969 doors), sill liners, rear quarter liners, the rear cockpit liner, and material for recovering the door cappings, fascia crash rail, B-posts, and the joints between the inner footwell liners. This is the correct choice for a concours restoration or for owners who want to replicate the factory appearance exactly.
Carpets
The Club specification kit provides an upgraded alternative with carpeted lower door sections and contrasting piping, offering a more premium appearance than the original flat-panel trim. When purchasing a Midget Club trim kit, a supplementary panel set is required to complete the installation. The Club kits are available in the extended colour range beyond the original factory offerings, including Magnolia, Grey, Red, Maroon, Green, and Biscuit.
Door Trim
Early Midget door cards (1967 to 1969) were secured using trim screws and cup washers. Later door cards use plastic trim panel retaining clips. The correct fixing method should be confirmed before ordering. Waterproof door curtains fitted behind the door cards are a recommended addition that protects the trim from water entering through the window channel.
