Head gaskets are produced in modern multi-layer steel construction for many applications, with composite-and-metal gaskets remaining the original specification on selected engines. Always replace head bolts where modern torque-to-yield specifications apply. Rocker Assemblies Rocker shaft assemblies on overhead-valve British classic engines are typically pedestal-mounted shafts carrying rocker arms that operate the valves via pushrods. Rocker assemblies are stocked as complete reconditioned units across the major applications, alongside individual components, rockers, shafts, pedestals, pedestal bolts, springs and circlips, for piecemeal replacement. Valve Train, Camshafts and Timing Valves, valve springs, valve guides, valve oil seals, camshafts, cam followers (tappets), pushrods and timing components, timing chains, timing gears, tensioners and timing covers, are stocked across the major applications. Camshafts in original specification and in performance grinds are stocked for the popular applications, with attention paid to correct cam follower compatibility (original cast iron tappets versus modern alternatives) and to running-in protocols on new camshafts.
