Copper brake and clutch pipe kits provide all the pre-formed rigid pipes needed for a complete brake and clutch system restoration. Kits are available in right-hand drive (single-circuit) and left-hand drive (dual-circuit) configurations. The copper pipes are malleable, non-corroding, and easy to form to a professional appearance. Brass unions are factory-fitted and each pipe is labelled for identification during installation, a significant time-saver during a full brake system rebuild.
Flexible Hoses
Three flexible brake hoses connect the rigid pipe system to the moving components: two front hoses at the wheel callipers and one rear hose at the rear axle. Standard rubber hoses are available, along with a stainless braided hose set with PTFE inner linings for improved pedal feel and consistent braking response. Hose lock plates, shakeproof washers, and connecting nuts secure each hose at both ends.
Pipe Clips and Routing
Pipe clips secure the rigid lines at multiple points along their routing, to the front brake hose area, front side members (different clips for manual and automatic gearbox cars), clutch hose bracket, rear axle, and differential. All clips, screws, washers, and nuts are available individually.
Four-Way and Three-Way Adaptors
The single-circuit system uses a four-way adaptor (with brake light switch) and a three-way adaptor to distribute hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder to all four wheel brakes. The brake light switch changed during production from a smaller to a larger type, with each using a different adaptor fitting. The spacer and mounting bracket for the four-way adaptor are also available.
